AN IDEAL COLOR TO ADD TO ANY ROOM
Spring will be coming soon and it has us thinking about color schemes for the season. A color that we’re in love with at the moment is blush pink. Blush is hardly a new color, but it’s one that may not be on your radar — and even if it is, it may not be in your home! Blush is quickly becoming one of the hottest new colors in home decorating, offering a subtle, sophisticated, delicate touch to any room. The hue evokes feelings of love, romance, and drama, but it’s just as comfortable being casual, relaxed, and cozy. Its soft hue holds its own when incorporated into interior schemes and is particularly fantastic when layered with shades of grey. We would like to share some of our favorite interiors with a blush palette since it is the perfect mixture of a color and a neutral — an ideal color to add to any room.
Interior Designer, Lisa Tharp, used a calming blush palette to transform a dark room dominated by heavy millwork into a light-filled library. The calming blush palette acts as a neutral. Its sophisticated undertones balance all the millwork — It makes you want to curl up, relax and luxuriate on the window seat.
Blush as an accent color
Not sure about committing to the color? Start small and introduce small pops of blush into a space to test the waters before diving into a full room makeover. Blush is a great accent color which can be used to good effect with scattered pillows and beautiful ceramics. Bring warmth and sparkle to your spaces with accents, inspiring entertaining essentials and a color palette of blush and rose gold.
